Valagil in Álftafjörður
Innermost in Álftafjörður there is a ravine called Valagil. At Valagil there is a great variety of lava flow strata that indicate an ancient central volcano under Lambadalsfjall. Valagil increasingly attracts hikers that are impressed by the ravine's spectacular and awesome landscape. A marked hiking trail leads from the highway to Valagil.
