Súðavík's Campsite

Súðavík's new and magnificent campsite was opened in the summer of 2005.  The campsite is located above the community center and the entrance for cars is from the inner end of Túngata. 

The view from the campsite is panoramic and spectacular with a perspective of the mountain Kofra in the west, of Álftafjörður and Kambsnes in the east, as well as having the island Vigur in sight which is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Súðavík district.

•      Even and grassy campsite, mowed weekly.
  

•      A new service center, open around the clock, with good indoor facilities, including two bathrooms with wash basins, hot and cold water. 
  

•      A bathroom for the disabled with a shower facility.

•      A sink for rinsing with hot and cold water, boxes for drying.
  

•      Plenty of garbage cans, outdoor tables and benches.

•      Electric connection boxes for standard plugs and 3 pin plugs.
  

•      A facility for disposing of waste and sewage from recreational vehicles. 
  

•      A big playground with a number of good recreational equipment is at about five minutes walking distance. 
  

•      Daily supervision by the caretaker and well looked after.

•      The distance between Súðavík and Ísafjörður is about 17 km.
