Tourism in Súðavík district has been rapidly increasing these last few years as is evident by the growing number of tourists staying with the local travel industry each year. In parallel there has been quite a rise in accommodation and entertainment options.
The most recent and fast growing addition to the local tourism is the services provided to sea anglers by Sumarbyggð hf / Isangling. The company is located in Súðavík but their services are also available in Tálknafjörður and Bíldudalur.
1300 sea anglers went sea angling from these three locations on behalf of the company in the summer of 2008.
